Since 2018, Dr. Roumiana Il. Preshlenova is professor and director of the Institute of Balkan Studies & Center of Thracology, Bulgarian Academy of Siences, Sofia. She is teaching at the Faculty of History, Sofia University St Kliment Ohridski. She is member of Comité Internationale d’Association internationale d’études du Sud-Est européen (AIESEE) and chair of the Bulgarian National Committee for Balkan Studies since 2018. Her research interests include among other topics Austro-Hungarian and Russian activities in the Balkans in late 19th and early 20th century.
